Description

Each bodhi seed, also known as the wisdom tree, is supposed to provide the fruits of knowledge for all beings. It is used to express spiritual commitment, trust, and promise. All mantras can be counted using bodhi seed beads, along with other prayers, prostrations, circumambulations, and other rituals. It removes barriers in addition to imparting knowledge.
The potent Tibetan mantra "Om Mani Padme Hum" is inscribed on each of the Conch shell mala beads. The conch shell is one of the eight auspicious signs and is referred to as "a gift from the stars" (Ashtamangala). This shell represents enormous strength and power, both materially and spiritually, as in the mystic sage and the strong warrior. They are able to naturally diffuse negative energy. The protecting base of the shells has a saltwater barrier that makes it difficult for negativity to get through.
